Deborah J. Yarrow D.V.M. is a graduate of
Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. She also
graduated from St. Michael's College, Winooski, VT in 1978 with a
B.S. Dr. Yarrow practiced in Vermont and Massachusetts
for eight years after graduation. She then moved to
Connecticut to be closer to her parents. After three years at
another practice in Connecticut, she decided that it was time to
open her own hospital. She operated Connecticut Veterinary
Housecall Practice for three years while she looked for the right
location for her practice. In 1996 she purchased the building for
Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital. After one and one half years of
remodelling, the practice had its grand opening in May 1997. Dr.
Yarrow lives in Guilford with her husband Don. They have two
horses, three dogs, two cats, a cockatiel and a parakeet. Dr.
Yarrow also enjoys horseback riding, motorcycle riding, hiking and
kayaking. |
Dr. Julia Carter received her B.A. from
Brown University in 1985. She then went to work in New York City in
finance. She decided to pursue her childhood dream of working with
and helping animals and applied to Tufts School of Veterinary
Medicine. She graduated in 1996 with her Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine degree. She also completed certification in acupuncture
from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Dr. Carter
was practicing as a relief veterinarian in Connecticut before
accepting a full time position with Mill Pond Veterinary Hospital
in May 2005. Her broad base of knowledge with conventional and
alternative medicine compliments our hospital's philosophy of
whatever is best for your pet. Dr. Carter is married with one son,
two dogs, two cats and four hermit crabs. |
